There are many sights and tourist attractions to visit as a tourist travelling to Transylvania in Romania.
The first stop on any tour of Transylvania should be the city of Brasov. This picturesque city is home to a number of well-preserved medieval buildings, including the Black Church, one of the largest Gothic churches in Europe.
Other notable attractions in Brasov include the old city walls, the Rasnov Fortress, and Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle.
Another must-see stop is Sighisoara, which is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. Sighisoara is particularly noted for its ornate clock tower, which was built in the 14th century. The town is also home to the house where Vlad Tepes, the real-life inspiration for Dracula, was born.
No tour of Transylvania would be complete without a visit to the region’s capital, Cluj-Napoca. This vibrant city is home to a number of interesting museums and galleries, as well as a lively nightlife scene.
Other highlights of Cluj-Napoca include the Bánffy Palace, the Hoia-Baciu forest, and Turda Salt Mines.
